Are you getting married on Valentine’s Day? Here at The Wright House it has seems like every year we have a Bride and Groom who are ready to tie the knot on the romantic day.  Even if you decide not to tie the knot on that actual day, you can still use Valentines as the theme, which will still have that romantic effect. Let’s fill the air with romance, below are some essentials to make the day perfect;

Share your Story:

To get started, think about Valentine's Day and what it means to your relationship. Look for inspiration from your own love story, like where you met, your proposal story or your favorite things to do together.

Play the classic colors:

Valentine's Day is basically synonymous with pink, purple and red. Depending on your style, you can go with those traditional hues or do something unexpected. For example, choose a classic black-and-white palette and add subtle pops of red or pink in the florals, signature cocktails, napkins, favors or wedding party accessories. You could even give the slightest nod with pink satin ribbons around the tiers of an all-white cake. Another way to make these romantic hues stylish is to go for contrast. Think deep crimson paired with ballet-slipper-pink and some chic metallic accents.

Play meaningful music:

It's more than likely your first dance will be to a love song, but to keep the mood romantic all night long, ask your guests to fill in their first dance song (or simply the name of “their song") on their RSVP card. Mixing some of those tunes into your playlist is a lovely way to honor them and help them relive their favorite memories.

Incorporate private, heartfelt details:

If more obvious Valentine’s Day decor isn’t really your thing, infuse a few private details into your wedding look. Something like heart-accented shoes, a Cupid’s arrow bowtie or a secretly inscribed ribbon bouquet wrap adds holiday spirit without taking over your entire wedding style.

Don’t forget the mood lighting:

Use lighting to set the mood. Soft bistro lighting creates a romantic setting, while glowing LED lights on the border of the dance floor keeps the focus on the music and dancing. And, of course, nothing says "romance" like a candlelit dinner, which will shine even brighter if you choose sequined or silky table linens. Go for ornate, flower-draped candelabras, or create a more contemporary vibe with floating tea candles in narrow hurricane vases.

A infused Valentine Wedding is already built in romance, right! Plus, you'll definitely never forget your anniversary...

Cheers to making your wedding the day you’ve always imagined.

XOXO

So, are morning weddings better than evening weddings? No. Evening weddings are fantastic too. But morning weddings are the unsung heroes of the wedding world.

7 Last-Minute Wedding Checklist

Wedding planning is no easy task. The list of things to do seems to be never-ending. Especially in the days leading up to your vows, there is just so much to do, it is nearly impossible not to forget things. No matter how many lists and sticky notes you make, you’re bound to forget something–and it won’t be the end of the world.

However, today we are sharing a 7 Last-Minute Wedding checklist to help you remember those pieces that often get forgotten.

  1. Make sure a bridesmaid knows how to bustle your dress, then practice! They can be really tricky, so I recommend bringing her along to the final fitting for a lesson.

2. You can’t make your marriage legal unless the officiant signs off on the license, so don’t forget this important piece of paper. Either drop it off with your officiant ahead of time or give it to a trusted member of the bridal party who you’re sure will remember it.

3. While you’re certainly concerned with getting your vendors their final payments, you might forget about the gratuities. Try not to leave this for the last minute; instead, place all of the tips in separate, labeled envelopes and give them to one of your wedding coordinator or bridal party members to pass out during the big day.

4. You’ve got gifts for the bridal party and favors for all of the guests, but what about your groom? Don’t miss out on giving a special present to your soon-to-be husband. Even if it's just a heartfelt note on your wedding day, get creative!

5. Your dream wedding day heels will probably get really uncomfortable after hours of wearing them. Plus, they're not exactly the most practical footwear to dance in. Bring a pair of pretty sandals or flats to your reception for you to slip into when your feet really start to get sore. You'll be so thankful that you did.

6. Designate a friend or family member who will be responsible for getting the wedding gifts from the venue to your home. You will be too busy saying goodbye to guests to deal with it, plus, it's your special day so you don't need the added responsibility. Organize a plan and put a member of your bridal party in charge so that you don't risk anything getting left behind.

7. Leaving for your honeymoon shortly after the reception? Pack now! Even if you have a day or two in between your flight and the ceremony, this tip will allow you to get a jump on thank-you cards, spend more time with family while they’re in-town, or even just rest your feet a bit after all that reception dancing.

Check them off the list and now you are ready to tie the knot! Happy Planning!
